Climb For Life: For protection of the human rights of the Unborn Child

The Climb For Life – a climb of Croagh Patrick, Co. Mayo to increase awareness of the right to life from conception until natural death will take place on 22nd June 2013.

This year, the Climb, which is an annual event, will commence at 10am with an ecumenical prayer service at the base of the mountain.

The Climb will be lead by Reverend Daniel Caldwell, a Pentacostal Minister and Chaplain at GMIT Castlebar and Fr. Fintan Monahan, a Priest of the Tuam Archdiocese.  Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Monahan in St. Patrick's oratory at the mountain's summit.

The Climb For Life is particularly important this year, given that the Government intends to pass abortion legislation through the Dáil and Seanad by the end of July.

Members of the public, pro-life individuals and organisations and prayer groups are very welcome and encouraged to participate.

Walkers are advised to bring good footwear, raingear and drinking water.
