Climb For Life 2011 a great success

The 2011 Climb For Life which took place at Croagh Patrick, Co. Mayo on 7th May was a great success.   A gang of at least fifty people of every age and background gathered to climb the mountain as a pilgrimage offered up for the protection of the unborn child from the moment of conception.

Rosary was recited at Our Lady's Grotto at the base of the mountain in the morning and after a long and arduous climb, Holy Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick's oratory at the top of the mountain by Fr. Fidelis assisted by his brother Friars of the Renewal.

Following the Climb, pilgrims were generously invited to join with the Tuam Archdiocese Youth Pilgrimage for refreshments.  Though a challenge, as always, the Croagh Patrick climb was a fantastic spiritual and enjoyable experience and we hope it goes from strength to strength.

Our thanks to the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and to all the participants.  See you next year!
